The Administrative Assistant is the first face that clients see when entering the office. This role is responsible for welcoming clients and providing administrative support to all staff. Duties include; answering phones, scheduling consultations, maintaining company CRM, updating social media channels, and general staff support.

  • Answer general phone inquiries
  • Schedule all consultations
  • Direct all inquiries to the appropriate staff members
  • Reply to general information requests with accurate information
  • Greet clients/suppliers/visitors to the company in a professional and friendly manner
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail/courier
  • Responsible for office supply management, ensuring office supplies are sufficiently maintained
  • General clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, scanning, faxing, mail distribution and filing
  • Maintain company CRM
  • Updating Social Media channels when needed
  • Maintaining the appearance of the front office

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Post-Secondary diploma considered an asset but not required
  • +1 years of Administrative experience
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written

Landscape Designer

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Landscape Designer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscape design projects, including but not limited to site measurements, base plans, planting plans, construction details, 2D and 3D landscape designs, and permit application drawings. They are responsible for actively selling designs, acquiring new clients, and retaining existing relationships.

  • Actively pursue new design clients
  • Sell design projects
  • Have consultation meetings with prospective clients to establish needs, wants and expectations
  • Prepare design quotes through our quoting software
  • Site surveys
  • Prepare 2D and 3D designs, construction renderings and planting plans using Dynascape and/or SketchUp
  • Present drawings to clients for approval or modifications in a timely fashion
  • Complete final designs, in a timely manner, to customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the sale of installation projects from completed designs
  • Work with Estimators to prepare proposals for install, as required
  • Meet with Project Managers & Clients as needed to supervise quality, efficiency, and deadlines during the installation process

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

  • Completion of Post-Secondary degree or technical training in relevant field
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in landscape design
  • Advanced proficiency in Google SketchUp, Dynascape, and Microsoft applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others effectively
  • Ability to manage around tight deadlines and still get the details right
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

  • 2+ years’ experience in construction
  • 2+ years’ experience in horticulture
  • Experience in sales
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, surveys and specifications

You are responsible for managing a crew of 2-3 people. You work closing with the Project Manager to set goal and ensure that each project stays on time and on budget, while maintaining the safety, quality and production standards of the company.

  • Support the Project Manager throughout the planning, execution and wrapping of hardscape projects
  • Complete all time keeping through LMN Time
  • Load all required materials and equipment into the truck and trailers
  • Preform daily huddles with crew
  • Direct, motivate, supervise and mentor your crew
  • Provide any employee orientation and training as required
  • Provide instructions to Lead Hand and Assistants for the installation of project components: paving stones, retaining walls, drainage, and outdoor kitchen features
  • Install project components listed above
  • Work with hand tools and other required equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Ensure all safety standards and company procedures are being upheld
  • Work outdoors in a variety of conditions including heat, rain, dust, noise and cold
  • Ensure all work sites are left in a clean and safe condition

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in landscaping, specifically hardscape
  • 2+ years’ experience managing a crew in a relevant field
  • A thorough understanding of all aspects of hardscape landscaping
  • Competent in the safe operations of hand tools and other equipment
  • Ability to organize a length project, setting goals and sitting to them
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • A valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

  • Experience operating a skid steer and excavator
  • Knowledge of, or formal training in, construction
  • Understanding of general mathematics
  • Knowledge of horticulture
